John A. Thaler

FOUNDER AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER

John A. Thaler is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of JAT Capital Management LP (“JAT”). Prior to founding JAT in July 2020, Mr. Thaler was a Portfolio Manager at Wexford Capital managing the Wexford Core Equities Fund. Prior to joining Wexford Capital, Mr. Thaler was the Founder and Portfolio Manager for JAT Capital Management (a former investment management firm run by Mr. Thaler that preceded the business of Hampton Road Capital Management LP (now rebranded as JAT Capital Management LP)), a $3 billion alternative asset management firm which operated from November 2007 through June 2015.

John A. Thaler is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of JAT Capital Management LP (“JAT”). Prior to founding JAT in July 2020, Mr. Thaler was a Portfolio Manager at Wexford Capital managing the Wexford Core Equities Fund. Prior to joining Wexford Capital, Mr. Thaler was the Founder and Portfolio Manager for JAT Capital Management (a former investment management firm run by Mr. Thaler that preceded the business of Hampton Road Capital Management LP (now rebranded as JAT Capital Management LP)), a $3 billion alternative asset management firm which operated from November 2007 through June 2015. Previously, Mr. Thaler was a Portfolio Manager at Shumway Capital Partners. Mr. Thaler was a pre-launch member of the Shumway team, joining the organization in 2002. In 2006, Mr. Thaler managed the SCP Omni Fund, a separately managed and funded TMT focused vehicle, and in 2007, Mr. Thaler was made a Portfolio Manager of Shumway Capital Partners’ main funds. Prior to joining Shumway, Mr. Thaler was an associate at Spectrum Equity Investors and an analyst at Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Thaler earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago, in 1997.

Ken Palumbo

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Ken Palumbo is President and Chief Operating Officer of JAT Capital Management and joined at its inception. He has been responsible for developing and managing the non-investment related activities at several multi-billion-dollar alternative investment firms over the course of his 20+ year career. Previously, Mr. Palumbo was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Wexford Capital. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer at Cider Mill Investments, President and Chief Operating Officer of JAT Capital Management, and Chief Operating Officer and a member of the management committee at Shumway Capital Partners.

Ken Palumbo is President and Chief Operating Officer of JAT Capital Management and joined at its inception. Previously, Mr. Palumbo was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Wexford Capital. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer at Cider Mill Investments, President and Chief Operating Officer of JAT Capital Management, and Chief Operating Officer and a member of the management committee at Shumway Capital Partners. Prior to Shumway, he was Chief Financial Officer at Hilal Capital Management and worked as a Senior Audit and Tax Accountant at Rothstein, Kass & Co. Earlier in his career he worked in the Global Investments division of Prudential Insurance Corporation.

Additionally, Mr. Palumbo has led the Statistical Risk Management Committees at Cider Mill Investments, JAT Capital Management, Shumway Capital Partners and currently at JAT Capital Management.

Mr. Palumbo, a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), earned his B.S. in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University, in 1994. He and John have worked together across multiple organizations beginning in 2002.
